Impartiality means being neutral and not biased.
The Mediator must be impartial in carrying out the Mediation activity and should not be in any behavior that would make his impartiality controversial. For this reason, the Mediator will refuse the offer if he can not manage it in an impartial manner. If the Mediator believes that he will not be able to manage the process objectively, he should withdraw immediately from this process.
Also, in terms of content and dispute the Mediator must be impartial. Under this rule;
(2.1) The Mediator should not take sides or act prejudiced by the parties on the basis of one's personal character, past, beliefs and values and mediating performance or for any other reason.
(2.2) The Mediator, in such a way as to cause doubt on his actual or apparent impartiality, must not give, or accept, a valuable gift, help, debt or other valuables to the parties.
